A young man in the Fredericton area is seeking a private support worker on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include supervision and assistance with personal care in his family home as well as supporting him to participate in social and recreational opportunities in the community. The successful candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide transportation. The individual’s home is located approximately 15 minutes from Fredericton.
The young man enjoys being physically active (walking, swimming) and is happiest when he is busy. He has complex autism and communicates with body language more than words. As a result he is seeking an experienced, assertive, high energy support worker, with strong skills in managing and redirecting challenging behaviours including physical aggression.
Shifts are available 2 days per week at a rate of $16 per hour. Full weekend shifts (48 hours) are available every other weekend at a flat rate of $200 per day (24 hours).
