Seeking an Academic Support Worker to work with a child with special needs in the Saint John Region

Hours: 3 hours per week with possibility of more

Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour

Duties:  Teach him how to read and write at his level, encourage him to interact with others, motivate him to learn and adjust to new environments and situations.

Must be able to speak FLUENT FRENCH

The Academic Support Worker should have tutoring or teaching experience as well as significant experience working with children with Autism.

A degree or diploma in education, or social services would be considered an asset.

On the job training will be provided.

  • Employee will be hired by the individual and their family and will not be employed by NBACL or Department of Social Development. The employee will be considered self-employed and must manage their own income for tax purposes.
