Support person wanted (female) – an individual interested in doing work supporting a woman with an intellectual disability in her own apartment.
Shifts are overnight and/ or through the day. Individual is quite active in her community, loves to socialize, contribute to society, and make new friends!
Main Responsibilities include:
- Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Creative thinking around apartment activities
- Approach that focuses on ‘assisting with’ vs. ‘doing for’
- Nursing, Kinesiology, Human Services background
- Experience supporting or volunteering with persons with a disability
- Having a car considered a major asset
- Students welcome – or anyone who is retired
10am-3pm = $12/hr
3pm-7pm = $12/hr
7pm-overnight to 10am = $100 (stipend, bedroom provided)
