As an Employment Specialist, Catrina provides employment counselling and mentoring support to ADAPT agencies, prepares & mentors agencies in preparation of TESS proposals, assists in development of participant employment plans, assists in facilitation of employment for participants and will assist in project coordination. This project aims to build capacity within ADAPT agencies to implement an Employment First model for its participants using a person-centered approach.
Catrina attended St Thomas University, where she majored in Criminology and Psychology. After working with Young Offenders in Ontario for a few years Catrina discovered a passion for helping youth with an intellectual disability and has been working to advocate for them ever since. She brings with her 12 years of experience working with youth, and a strong desire to help them succeed in their communities as active participants. Catrina lives in St. Stephen, with her husband and three sons, and is happy to be back in New Brunswick serving her community.
