As a Social Inclusion Coordinator, Karen is responsible for the overall coordination of the Social Inclusion program in the Moncton region. She supports adults who have an intellectual disability to find suitable housing, access individualized supports, and implement supported living plans to ensure a successful home of one’s own. Through this role she also assists individuals and families to identify possible leading roles of natural supports and provides support and mediation to maintain these relationships.
Karen has recently returned to her hometown of Moncton from Prince Edward Island, where she lived for the past 14 years. During this time she gained multiple skills and knowledge in the not-for-profit industry through her work experiences and volunteering her time on multiple committees and events throughout the island.
