Call for Nominations: Champions of Inclusion Achievement Awards

Posted in: Press Releases

If you know a person or group who has championed the inclusion of children and adults with an intellectual disability, the New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL) wants to hear from you.

The association is issuing a call for nominations for the 2015 Champions of Inclusion Award, which will be presented the evening of March 20th, 2015 at an awards celebration at the Fredericton Crown Plaza.

The Champions of Inclusion award will be presented to a community member or group who has made an outstanding contribution to support and promote the inclusion of all citizens, including children and adults with an intellectual disability, as valued and contributing members of their community.

“Whether the nominee is an individual who has helped to change lives in their community, or province-wide, we know New Brunswickers have stories to share about those who have played a key role in advancing one of the most important social movements of our time,” says NBACL President, Dianne Cormier Northrup.

“We know there are people in every corner of New Brunswick who have gone above and beyond to lead the way and we want to hear their stories so that we may publicly recognize those who have contributed so much to so many.”

The awards will be presented on March 20th at the Fredericton Crowne Plaza during an awards celebration, which will feature keynote speaker and award winning journalist and human rights activist, Sally Armstrong.

The deadline for Nominations is February 20th, 2015. Forms can be located on the NBACL website at http://bit.ly/1JQgj6z. For more information contact NBACL, toll free at 1-866-622-2548.
