CHANGES ANNOUNCED TO NBACL CLOTHING COLLECTION

Posted in: In the News

We live in a fast-paced and ever changing world. Here at the New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL) it’s no different. NBACL is leading in the creation of opportunities for individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability to live full and valued lives in all aspects of society.  Through our Community Collections Program, NBACL is able to provide essential service to New Brunswick families.

After more than 20 years, we are announcing that we will be no longer use our traditional door-to-door and telephone outbound methods for clothing donation collections.

This change will allow us to re-focus our efforts and resources on our other clothing collection methods, mainly our drop-off donation bins and our community partnerships. Both of which continue to result in growing numbers of donations. Simply, this change will mean that more funds will be raised in New Brunswick to support more individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and their families and help them gain the access to the essential services they require.

NBACL has more than 70 donation drop-off bins across the province. To locate a donation bin near you, please visit https://nbacl.nb.ca/how-to-help/ccp/. We also have a growing list of community partners which results in many great initiatives such as clothing drives and fundraisers, and we are always looking to establish new community partnerships. If you think you would like to help us support more families, please contact us https://nbacl.nb.ca/contact-us/ .

NBACL is extremely thankful for the continued support we receive from individuals and groups around the province. We look forward to continuing to collect your gently used clothing and small household items.
