Graduate gains Independence at CCNB

Ryan Hébert recently graduated from a two year  Business  Administration course at Collège  Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) Dieppe, and had the ideal experience for any student attending postsecondary school.

“Ryan is more confident and social; he is really mature in maintaining his independence,” said Hélène Corriveau, Transition Facilitator for the New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL). “Confidence is so important.”

Ryan worked with Hélène throughout high school and college through the Transition to Work program at NBACL.

Ryan completed his practicum at Shediac’s Pension Centre before graduating in June, and now holds three positions in town at the IGA, Sobeys, and Dixie Lee. Ryan is keeping busy, to say the least. He’s recently moved into his own apartment and is self-sufficient.

“CCNB was just another step in his independence,” said Hélène. “He is self-reliant while getting experience to build on the skills he learned at CCNB.”
