If you’re in the market for a new four wheeler and want to support a great cause, NBACL and Fredericton Sport Investment Inc. (FSI) are giving you the chance to win one, along with some other amazing prizes, as part of the annual Elimination Draw presented by both organizations.
“We knew we had to bring this fundraiser back for another year,” said Jason Carr, NBACL’s Director of Strategic Initiatives. “It’s always been a very successful event and raises much needed funds for both NBACL and FSI.”
With each year that passes, the Elimination Draw continues to grow, and so do the prizes.
“We were thrilled to have many local businesses step up to the plate and get involved for this year’s draw.” Carr said. “This year’s top prize is an Artic Cat Alterra 500 4×4 ATV from MacLeans Sports in Fredericton, but there’s also more than 40 other prizes donated by local businesses and each has a value of at least $50.”
The NBACL Elimination Draw works a bit differently than some of the draws that people may be used to, Carr explained, mainly that there’s no need to be present to win. As long as you have a ticket, you’re eligible to win a prize. If your ticket is drawn, someone from NBACL will contact you to arrange for pickup of your prize.
The format of the draw is as follows. The first ticket drawn will win a prize, followed by the 20th ticket drawn thereafter until all the tickets have been drawn. The final ticket drawn will be for the grand prize. With only 700 tickets being sold in total, the odds of winning are pretty good.
“While we don’t require you to be in attendance to win, a lot of people make the Elimination Draw into a social event and come out for the afternoon with friends and family,” Carr said. “Last year we held the draw at Houlie’s Hometown Pub in Fredericton and everyone had a great time, so we’ll be bringing it back to Houlie’s again this year”
Tickets are only $50 and NBACL has provided several options to purchase them. You can either go online to nbacl.nb.ca and purchase your ticket through the website, or you can call toll free 1-866-622-2548.
