(Fredericton, N.B.)— After a six-week search, the Board of Directors for the New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Wagner as the Association’s new Executive Director.
“We’re thrilled to have Sarah step into this leadership role,” said Moira Wilson, NBACL President. “Her passion and commitment to our cause, coupled with her deep knowledge of our work, will enable her to effectively plan for our future and carry out our mission of ensuring persons with an intellectual or developmental disability live meaningful lives and participate in society as valued and contributing members.”
Wagner is no stranger to NBACL, having served as Director of Programs, where she was responsible for the development, management, and evaluation of programs and initiatives related to supporting children and adults with an intellectual or developmental disability and their families. Sarah brings a wide range of experience within the non-profit sector, managing and leading teams, strategic planning and program development and evaluation. She truly champions the values of inclusion and NBACL’s vision of a fully inclusive society.
The Board would like to thank Acting Executive Director, Danny Soucy, for his leadership, guidance and dedication to the Association over the last fifteen months.
“We would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the dedication that Danny has shown to NBACL over the years, especially the past fifteen months, assuming the acting role of Executive Director,” Wilson said. “Danny’s strong leadership skills and commitment to inclusiveness in New Brunswick has continued to position NBACL to be an important resource for persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the province.”
Committed to a competitive and transparent recruitment and hiring process, the Board engaged the services of Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette to assist with the search. Wagner begins her new role immediately.
