Supports: Community Participation, Social Inclusion
As Supported Living and Community Facilitator, Leigh-Anne assists adults with an intellectual disability to access inclusive opportunities within in their communities, as well as identify their life goals. She is responsible for facilitating development, planning and implementing community connections and supported living arrangements, as well as personal support networks, community outreach, and partnership development.
After graduating from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and a triple minor in Sociology, Women’s Studies and Human Rights, Leigh-Anne worked for different disability associations before returning to school in mid-2017 to earn her Master of Arts. Leigh-Anne spent the last year working with the indigenous youth of NB, providing direct support before finding her way to NBACL.
