As Social Inclusion Coordinator, Pierrette supports people with an intellectual disability to live and participate in their community. The Social inclusion program aims to assist people to be included in their community by: Having a home of their own (with the support they require). Pierrette also develops strong personal support networks and help people be involved in recreation, leisure and voluntary activities that match their interest and choices.
She also does presentations to families, community groups and organizations about the importance of Inclusion and the importance that people could choose the life they want. Pierrette shares and supports the vision and mission of NBACL, and work toward (Changing lives, changing communities). She is very proud to be a member of this great team.
Pierrette got her degrees in Community and Social Service Worker plus Management. She joined the NBACL team in 2004 and she has always believed in the importance of making everybody feel valued and appreciated. Plus she also believes in families. Her husband Adrien (Tom) and she raised their three daughters, Angie, Sandie, and Stéphanie plus their 48 foster children. Last year, their Home was blessed by having the greatest gift, their Grand-Daughter Lilia. Pierrette and Adrien (Tom) live in Saint-Francois but Pierrette works in the entire Madawaska-Victoria region.
