VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – NBACL Board of Directors

New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL), an effective and dynamic advocacy organization for children and adults who have an intellectual disability and their families, is seeking motivated individuals to serve on the Board for three year terms.

This year we have two vacancies:  

  1. Regional Representative         North East (Bathurst/Neguac & surrounding region)
  2. Parent/Self Advocate              Fundy (Saint John & surrounding area)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Want to make a contribution
  • Enjoy working with individuals and groups
  • Have an interest or experience in improving the lives of people
  • Are family members, a self-advocate or are active in your community
  • Interested in learning new things
  • Like a challenge
  • Have a sense of humour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in Board meetings
  • Serve on committees or special assignments
  • Become informed about policies and activities
  • Promote the vision of the Association
  • Direct and support the work of NBACL/ANBIC
